I’ve turned a corner today. Yes, yesterday sucked, I spent most of the day napping, and by the time I went to bed, the leg cramps had come back full force and even a huge dose of ibuprophen, a hot shower and heating pads didn’t provide much relief.

I’m happy to report that today is a much better day. I think I’m on the uphill swing now.

One of the highlights of my day was a call with an old, dear friend of mine (of more than 30 years). I called to let her and her family know what was going on with me and after I got through the “notification” part of the call, we spent the rest of our time catching up and filling each other in on the latest happenings in our respective families.

It was so wonderful to hear Sue’s voice again…as if we had just talked last week. It’s great to know that, as everything around us changes, the friendships we create withstand the test of miles and years.

As always, I am so grateful for the love and support of my friends and family. On the tough days, you give me a reason to keep fighting. And on the good days, you lift my spirits immeasurably.
